Years later he was trusted with the highest levels of security clearance available to a civilian in the United States Government. He transported dignitaries and members of Congress. He moved freely through Secret Service checkpoints. Through Capitol Police lines. Onto Joint Base Andrews. Onto the grounds of Fort Meade — home of the National Security Agency. Into secured federal facilities that most Americans will never see the inside of. During the presidency of George W. Bush. The same man whose library holds his prison work. You cannot make this up.

Then the floor dropped again.
